Chicken Painting with depth

Birth of an Old Soul is not only a title that suggests a deeper meaning but it also has a deeper meaning:

“I created this piece originally laughing about the idea and shaking my head, but when I gave the little chicken a pair of glasses and white eyebrows I was thinking that it’s both, really funny and absurd, but also conveys the depth of an old soul – it’s as if he (the chicken) is born with wisdom, that’s why he already has grey hair…

At the same time, he looks super-fluffy and his these bright-yellow feathers, like little chickens do – it’s a mixture, like a lot of my paintings, between child-like naivete, humor and depth… At least that’s what I want to convey.” – Michael, the artist
